Is it supposed to mute all functions?

Great App! Ive been working with it and upgraded to the 5 minute buffer and Im liking what it. Question - is is supposed to mute all functions? While it is running I dont get any audible alerts for phone calls, text messages, alarms…

Is there a way to re-enable alerts while it is running? Ironically, the mute feature works GREAT, much better than anything else Ive found if I need silence!
